Define What the Lawyer Should Be Known For
Focus creates relevance.I focused the website on investor losses, financial misconduct, unsuitable investment advice, and denied life insurance claims—not a broad collection of unrelated legal services.
I’m Mike Caldwell, founder of Marketing Medic. I developed the strategy, messaging, content structure, schema, and AI Visibility foundation behind the law firm website examined on this page.
I built the site around a clear connection between one lawyer, his experience, the legal problems he solves, the jurisdiction he serves, and the prospective clients searching for guidance.
Then I measured what happened.
The results reveal why law firms cannot judge their online visibility by appearance, rankings, or total website traffic alone.

The work behind the results
Before measuring traffic, rankings, or inquiries, I built a clearer connection between the lawyer, his experience, the legal problems he solves, and the people searching for guidance.
I focused the website on investor losses, financial misconduct, unsuitable investment advice, and denied life insurance claims—not a broad collection of unrelated legal services.
The website brings more than 30 years of experience and the lawyer’s understanding of both litigation and financial services to the foreground.
The content consistently connects the lawyer, law firm, practice areas, Ontario jurisdiction, and specific legal problems prospective clients are researching.
Clear headings, focused pages, internal links, FAQs, and structured schema help search engines and AI platforms interpret the website’s expertise and entity relationships.
Google Analytics, Search Console, referral tracking, conversion tracking, and lead review reveal whether the website is attracting relevant people and creating genuine business opportunities.
I did not build the website merely to mention the right keywords. I built a clear and supportable connection between the lawyer, his experience, the problems he solves, the jurisdiction he serves, and the people searching for guidance.
An AI review of the completed website
After completing the website, I asked Google’s Gemini to evaluate it specifically for AI Visibility. Gemini recognized the same strategic signals I had intentionally built into the site.
An AI assessment can evaluate the foundation. Real visitor behaviour reveals whether that foundation is working.
Understanding versus performance
An AI review can determine whether a website communicates clear, recognizable signals. It cannot tell me whether those signals are reaching the right people or producing meaningful opportunities.
An AI system can analyze whether the website presents its expertise in a clear and understandable way.
Analytics and lead data reveal what happens when actual people encounter the website.
AI recognition is encouraging. Qualified visitor behaviour and legitimate inquiries provide the stronger evidence.
What one law firm’s data reveals
Your law firm may have an impressive website. But unless you know who is finding it, what questions brought them there, and whether Google and AI understand your expertise, you may still be invisible at the moment a prospective client needs you.
A note about confidentiality: The performance figures presented on this page are actual numbers drawn from Google Analytics and Google Search Console. The law firm and lawyer names have been replaced with “XYZ Law” and “First Name Last Name” to protect client confidentiality.
Request an AI Visibility Assessment →Data without insight
Many law firms receive reports filled with sessions, users, page views, and rankings. Far fewer are told what those numbers mean for the firm.
A large traffic number can look impressive while concealing bots, visitors outside the firm’s market, irrelevant searches, poor engagement, missed inquiries, and content that is visible but not persuasive.
Without proper tracking and interpretation, a law firm may be spending money on its website without knowing whether it is building authority, attracting prospective clients, or contributing to new matters.
Signal vs. noise
Singapore represented almost half of all active users, yet those visitors averaged zero seconds of engagement—behaviour consistent with bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other non-prospect traffic.
Average engagement by city
A surface-level report might have celebrated 753 users. A meaningful analysis found hundreds of visits with little or no business value, while a smaller group of Canadian visitors behaved like serious researchers.
Vancouver: 72.73% engagement rate
Organic search
Organic search represented fewer than one in five visits, yet generated about two-thirds of all engaged sessions. These visitors were actively researching a legal issue, lawyer, investment firm, or potential claim.
This does not mean every organic visitor became a client. It does mean their behaviour was far more useful than the raw volume suggested.
13* directly identifiable sessions
61.54% engagement rate
1:32 average engagement
7.23 events per session
AI-assisted discovery
These were the strongest engagement figures among the website’s meaningful acquisition channels. Thirteen sessions is a small sample, and it does not prove that AI traffic created a specific client.
It is also only the AI traffic that could be clearly identified. It does not capture every visitor whose research journey may have been influenced by AI.
Branded search
Someone searching for an “investment loss lawyer” is looking for a possible solution. Someone searching for “First Name Last Name” is researching the lawyer.
Analytics cannot tell us where every branded search originated. These searches should not be attributed exclusively to AI. The data does show that First Name Last Name and XYZ Law were becoming search destinations in their own right.
The long-term objective is not merely to rank a collection of legal pages. It is to build enough authority that the lawyer’s name becomes connected with the legal problem—in the mind of the prospective client and within the information understood by Google and AI platforms.
Targeted content in action
The former Celernus investigation page attracted people researching a specific investment firm, related individuals, reviews, and possible investment concerns. It was later retired as part of a strategic shift toward broader investment-loss and group-action content.
The lesson: Specific, authoritative content can help a law firm appear during the due-diligence stage—before a prospective client has decided whether they need a lawyer or which lawyer to contact. Results will vary by firm and market.
From visibility to opportunity
The website did more than attract visits. It attracted people in the intended market who described real legal problems and were actively looking for guidance.
These inquiries cannot be attributed directly to AI or organic search from the available data.
Other inquiries involved insurance and advisor-access concerns. Reported exposure ranged from under $50,000 to over $350,000.
Responsible interpretation
Credibility comes from explaining the limits of the data—not hiding them.
A connected authority system
AI Visibility is not simply SEO with “AI” added. It is the work of making a firm’s expertise clear, credible, consistent, findable, and genuinely useful to people conducting serious research.
Clear lawyer biographies, detailed practice pages, representative experience where permitted, and consistent descriptions of what the firm does.
Specific legal answers, educational videos and transcripts, frequently asked questions, internal links, and evidence of experience and authority.
Google Business Profile, LinkedIn authority, reviews, third-party references, and accurate information across the places prospects research.
Structured website information, reliable analytics, conversion tracking, lead-quality analysis, and ongoing human interpretation.
AI Visibility + Empathic Marketing®
AI can help research, organize, draft, and analyze. It cannot independently determine which experience matters most, what genuinely differentiates one lawyer, or whether a message feels credible rather than generic.

AI can help produce more information. Human calibration determines whether that information is accurate, meaningful, credible, and connected to what a prospective client is experiencing.
Questions law firms ask
It is the process of making a law firm’s expertise clear, credible, consistent, findable, and understandable across search engines, AI platforms, and the wider research journey of a prospective client.
Sometimes. Analytics can identify some referral visits from AI assistants. That represents only part of the journey because a person may see the firm in an AI answer and later return through Google, type the address directly, or search for the lawyer by name.
Not in the data used for this analysis. Google groups visits influenced by its AI-powered search features with conventional organic search traffic, so those visits cannot be reliably isolated here.
No. Search optimization remains important, but AI Visibility also depends on how clearly the firm’s expertise is explained, supported, connected across channels, and understood by AI systems and serious prospective clients.
A meaningful assessment combines Google Analytics behaviour, Search Console impressions and queries, identifiable AI referrals, branded searches, conversion tracking, lead quality, and human interpretation.
There is no universal timetable. It depends on the firm’s current authority, competition, technical foundation, content, and how consistently improvements are implemented. No responsible provider can guarantee when a platform will rank or mention a firm.
It examines what the firm is currently visible for, how its lawyers and services are understood, whether credible evidence can be found, how visitors behave, where tracking has gaps, and which opportunities deserve priority.
A clearer starting point
An AI Visibility Assessment looks beyond rankings and traffic. It examines whether your lawyers, services, experience, content, and authority can be found and understood across the modern research journey.
No inflated traffic reports. No promises of instant rankings. Just a clearer understanding of where your firm stands and what should happen next.
